We are an official corporate sponsor of the exhibition "RETURNING HOME: EDO PAINTING FROM THE GITTER-YELEN COLLECTION"(September 3 - October 16, 2011) at The Museum of Kyoto.
Dr. Kurt Gitter, an ophthalmologist in New Orleans, and his wife, Alice Yelen have been collecting Japanese arts for about forty years. The exhibition introduces about 100 masterpieces from a major collection represented by the greatest painters of the Edo period, including Tawaraya Sotatsu, Ito Jakuchu and Yosa Buson.
