The environmentally-friendly molded products provided by Industrial Materials Business of Nissha Co., Ltd. won the “Packaging Innovation Award” at “Pharmapack Europe 2024”. This award is bestowed upon innovative technologies in pharmaceutical packagings and drug delivery devices, following a rigorous selection process conducted by experts. The evaluation criteria primarily focus on sustainability. The award ceremony was taken place at the pharmaceutical packaging exhibition, “Pharmapack Europe 2024”.

The product that won the award is a cap for a self-injector, made from Pulp-Injection. Pulp-Injection is a unique process that enables the production of products with precise and complex shapes, primarily using pulp and starch. It has superior reproducibility and rigidity, equivalent to plastic injection-molded parts. Leveraging this unique feature, Pulp-Injection allows the creation of three-dimensional cylindrical caps with high accuracy. By substituting conventional plastic caps with those made from Pulp-Injection, we are significantly reducing the use of petroleum-based plastics.
