Nissha Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Nissha) will exhibit new products at the 2nd Smart Factory Expo Nagoya, which will be held at Portmesse Nagoya from 18th to 20th September, 2019. This exhibition brings together the latest technology and solutions, including Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), factory automation (FA) and robots, which make a smart factory possible. The venue will host Automotive World concurrently. This specialized exhibition will contain numerous displays of advanced technologies in the automotive industry, including autonomous driving, electric vehicles/hybrid electric vehicles (EV/HEV), car electronics and connected cars.

Nissha has designated mobility (automotive) as one of our priority markets. It is working on sales expansion of decorative film and molded parts out of IMD and IML processes, film-based touch sensors, and hydrogen detectors. The automotive market is undergoing a period of great change which is said to happen once in a hundred years. It is transforming and evolving into “Mobility” market of which the scope is a whole social system relevant to mobility, with a trend of “CASE” (Acronym for Connected, Autonomous, Shared and Service, and Electric). For new business opportunities out of this market transformation, Nissha set up Mobility Business Unit (MBU) in July 2019. The MBU will not carry out only sales promotion of the current products, but also new technology and product extension.
At this exhibition, Nissha will exhibit various products aimed at the mobility market which contribute to increased safety and convenience. These include transparent film heaters which remove snow and frost, preventing them from impeding the function of various sensors, curve shaped large touch panels which support the realization of next generation cockpits, and shear force sensors, which detect shear force and frictional force of the tire contact area.
