Vanderbilt University is recognized for its strength in surgical innovation, achieved through collaboration with its affiliated research institute and medical center. Serving as an on-campus R&D hub at the university, Nashville Innovation Center of Excellence integrates academic research, industry development, and clinical application of medical devices within a single location. This unified approach is designed to accelerate both the speed and effectiveness of medical device development.

In addition, EndoTheia, Inc., which has a strategic capital and business alliance with NMT, has established operations within the facility. By creating a collaborative framework that spans research and development—from improving the usability of surgical instruments through to manufacturing—the partnership will accelerate the expansion of applications across a wide range of products.
